The surface polymer of KDB201 is chemically resistant, so its corrosion resistance mainly depends on the steel back and the outer plating layer.The surface of the steel back is copper-plated or tin-plated, which can effectively prevent atmospheric corrosion; if it is working in a corrosive medium, the steel back can be galvanized, etc.

Wear resistance

The wear characteristics of KDB201 under grease lubrication conditions are shown in the following figure: its “running and closing” wear rate is very small; as can be seen from the line segment in the figure, when the grease coated during assembly is consumed to a certain extent, its wear rate gradually increases, as shown in dotted line 1; If the wear rate rises before refueling again, the wear rate remains stable; when the refueling interval is appropriate, the service life of the material can be greatly extended.The time of the refueling interval depends on the cumulative amount of wear.

For grease lubrication: lithium soap-based grease is recommended when the ambient temperature is lower than 80℃; silicone oil-based grease is recommended when the ambient temperature is higher than 80℃; grease containing EP additives is not recommended.

1) The impact of PV value
PV value is an effective indicator to determine the wear life of KDB201.If the life extension is required, the PV value must be reduced.

2) The influence of ambient temperature
When the ambient temperature exceeds 40℃, the performance of KDB201 decreases significantly, and the higher the temperature, the shorter its relative life.

3) The influence of roughness
When the roughness of the dual surface is in the range of Ra=0.4~0.63, the service life of the KDB201 bearing can be significantly improved.
